Charles C. McDermott, 98, Bettendorf, Iowa died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at the Iowa Masonic Nursing Home, Bettendorf. Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. The body will be cremated. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to service time. Memorials may be made to the nursing home or Visiting Nurses Association.

Mr. McDermott was born Jan. 4, 1897, in Wright County, Iowa. He married Wilma Arp Jan. 1, 1933, in Galesburg. He farmed in Scott County, Iowa, retiring in 1970. He was a member of Davenport Moose Lodge. Survivors include the widow; sons, Ron McDermott, Davenport, and Ordean "Bud" McDermott, Clinton, Iowa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A daughter, Natalie Yelton, is deceased.
