MARTHA NELLE PETERSON LEONARD

Martha Nelle Peterson was born January 5, 1877 at Savannah, Ill., to Christian and Anna Marie Peterson and passed away at her home October 29, 1945 at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. at the Congregational church with the Rev. L. H. Preul officiating.

Her childhood was spent in Garner, Iowa and it was at Garner that she was united in marriage to Daniel H. Leonard on July 21, 1896. Their entire wedded life was spent in Clarion, Iowa. Had she lived until July 21, 1946 they would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Dan; a daughter Frances, and family; a sister, Mrs. Etta Deabler of Waco, Texas; and two brothers, C. B. Peterson of Merced, Calif., and P. H. Peterson of Houston, Texas. Also several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
