June 12, 1900 -- December 30, 1966

Mrs. Inga Twedt Halverson was born June 12, 1900 at Hagsehl, Osterfjord on Bergen Norway to Bore (Ole) and Inga Twedt. She was baptized in September, 1900 in the Hamre Church in Norway and confirmed in the same church in September, 1914. She died suddenly at her home in Eagle Grove on Friday night, Dec. 30 of an apparent heart attack, after reaching the age of 66 years, 6 months and 18 days. In 1923 she came to America, first to Minnesota and in 1924 to Eagle Grove where she worked for the Gunner Knutzon family. On Feb. 14, 1925 she was married to John Martin Halverson, at Eagle Grove and in 1931 they moved to their present home. She was a long - time member of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Those who preceded her in death were two daughters, Hilda, 2 years and Olga, 14 years; 4 brothers, Bert, Gust, Ludwig and Emial Twedt and one sister, Asa, Mrs. Peter Hockset. Those who mourn her departure are her husband John, her children, Joseph of Eagle Grove; Irene, Mrs. Robert Lunt of Denver, Colo., Carl of Eagle Grove, Roger of Oconomowoc, Wisc., and Donald, of Eagle Grove; 13 grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 3, 1967 at 2:00 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Rev. H. W. Schiller. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
