Thomas Eugene Donahue
27 August 1899 --- 14 October 1918

Thomas Donahue died Monday at the home of his mother on No. Lucas Ave. Funeral services were held from the house Wednesday morning at 9:30, burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. Seward of the Methodist church had charge of the services.

Thomas Donahue was born Aug. 27, 1899 and died Oct. 14, 1918, being 19 years, 1 month and 16 days old. He had been sick only a few days with an attack of Spanish influenza which turned into pneumonia. He attended the public schools here for a number of years and for the past three years has been a faithful employee of the Chicago Northwestern. Thomas had many friends among both old and young people who all speak well of him. His many good traits endeared him to all who know him. He was goodhearted and of a pleasing disposition. His mother Mrs. Mary Donahue, survives him. His father died about fifteen years ago. Those from out of the city that attended the funeral were three uncles and his aunt, Miss Donahue, from Sheldon, Iowa.
