Graveside Rites For Mrs. Thos. Moore
Graveside rites were held Wednesday morning in Calvary Cemetery Eagle Grove, for Mrs. Thomas Moore of Britt, who died Sunday morning following a long illness and Rev: Maurice Mullan officiated. Funeral services were held at 9:30 at St. Patrick's church Britt with Rev. Justin A. Kane in charge. Mrs. Moore, the former Erna Louise Shurtz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Harry Shurtz was born in Lake City and moved here as a small child. She was graduated from Eagle Grove high school in 1914 and in 1921 was married to Thomas Moore of Eagle Grove. Mr. and Mrs. lived on a farm south of Britt for many years. About two years ago Mrs. Moore suffered a stroke and since that time has been confined to the hospital and a nursing home. She is survived by her husband, two stepsons, Thomas Moore, Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Wilbur Moore of Renwick and one sister Mrs. Thos. Benedict of Eagle Grove.
