Anna Catherine Jones was born October 23, 1912 to Bartel M. and Clara L. (Trausch) Rink in rural Clarion. She moved with her family to North Dakota and graduated from high school in Elliot, N.D. Following graduation, she attended college in Fargo, N.D. She taught school in Eagle Grove at Sacred Heart Middle School and Lincoln Elementary. In 1935, she married Charles A. Toillion at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He later died and she married Willard Jones at the Methodist Church in Woolstock. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Eagle Grove.
Ann Jones died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 87. Memorial services will be held today, Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Rev. William Ballard officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be prior to the service at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
She is survived by her son, Bernard Toillion, of Eagle Grove; two stepdaughters, Wilma Jones, of Cedar Falls; Dorothy (Mrs. George) Hackett, of Atkins; a stepson, Ernie Jones, and his wife Cathy, of Fort Dodge; two sisters Ruth Hanson, of Colorado; and Evelyn Wingfield, of Tucson, Ariz.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Charles and Willard; three brothers, Raymond, Steve, and Merlin Rink; and a sister, Marjorie Bailafes. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove is in charge of arrangements.
