Jeanne Louise Tjornehoj was born on November 19, 1943 the daughter of George and Catherine Thompson
Jorgensen Tjornehoj at Forest City, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1962. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Drake University in 1966. She later earned her Master's Degree in education in 1988. She was united in marriage to Bob Schweikhardt on January 1, 1968 at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. She returned to Eagle Grove in 1987.

Jeanne Louise Schweikhardt died October 11, 1994, as a result of injuries received in a car/truck accident. She had attained the age of 50 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by her children Robert Schweikhardt of Houston, Texas; Jeanne Schweikhardt II of Fontana, Calif.; Heather Schweikhardt of San Francisco, Calif.; Heidi Schweikhardt and Joe Schweikhardt of Eagle Grove; parents, George and Catherine Tjornehoj Jorgensen of Eagle Grove. Also surviving are her brothers Thomas Tjornehoj of Omaha, Neb., and Daniel Tjornehoj and wife Kristin of Hudson, Wis.; and sisters Mary and husband Dr. Martin Schaeferle III of Tacoma, Wash, and Kathryn Tjornehoj of Fort Dodge.

Funeral services for Jeanne Louise Schweikhardt were held on Saturday, October 15, 1994, at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Reverend Lyle Peters and Reverend Maynard Moen officiated the 1:30 p.m. service and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
