Edward Hallagan, a resident of Wright county, died Sunday morning, June 2, at the home of his son, John, near Rowan, following a brief Illness. Mr. Hallagan was 60 years of age and was born April 1, 1855, in Pennsylvania and grew to manhood near Cornland, Ill. He came to Iowa with his family in 1881, settling west of Eagle Grove where he lived for 48 years.

His wife preceded him in death 15 years ago. Two sons, James E. and John J. survive, also four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A sister, Mrs. Margaret Kelley of Waverly, a brother, Thos. Hallagan of St. Paul, Minn, also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 at St. John's church in Clarion, the Rev. Father J. M. O' Donnell officiating. Burial in Calvary cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Mr. Hallagan was 80 years of age and was born April 1, 1855, in Pennsylvania and grew to manhood near Cornland, Ill. He came to Iowa with his family in 1881 and settled on a farm west of Eagle Grove where he lived for 48 years.

His wife preceded him in death fifteen years ago. Two sons James E. and John J. survive, also four grandchildren and one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Kelley of Waverly, a brother Thos. Hallagan of St. Paul, Minn.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 o'clock at St. John's church in Clarion, Rev. Father J. M. O'Donnell officiating. Burial in Calvary cemetery at Eagle Grove.
