ROBERT E. WOOD

Robert E. Wood was born on June 14, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Roscoe Edward and Elizabeth S. Watt Wood. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He lived in Coden, Ala., from 1980-1995, and Eagle Grove, Iowa, prior to that. He was the owner of a car dealership in Des Moines and retired in 1979. He belonged to Bower Lodge of the Masonic Temple in Eagle Grove and the Za Ga Zig Shrine of Des Moines. He had lived in Eagle Grove since 1995 and recently at the Rotary Ann
Home.

Robert E. Wood died Wednesday, July 21, 1999 at the Humboldt County Hospital in Humboldt, Iowa, at the age of 75.

He is survived by two sons, Michael J. Wood, Omaha, Neb., and Ronald E. Wood, Renwick, Iowa; one daughter, Linda J. Wood, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Dorothy Brubaker, Jesse Lake, Minn., and Charolette Johnson, Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Kenneth Wood, Jesse Lake, Minn; four grandchildren; and 1 great- grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today), July 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Reverend William Ballard officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa.

McLaren's Funeral Chapel in Des Moines is in charge of arrangements.
