Mrs. Harry Wasem

Lillie Barbara Grebe, daughter of George W. and Sally V. Grebe, was born June 14, 1890, at Rockport, Mo. Here she grew to young womanhood, attending the public schools there and later the State University Missouri. She taught in the schools of her home community and county for 17 years.

On May 24,1929, she married Harry Wasem of Eagle Grove and came here to live. She passed to that better country Oct. 31, 1939. Mrs. Wasem united with M. E. church when 14 years of age and was always faithful. She had always been active in club work through the years, being a leader in Campfire Girls and 4-H work, as well as others. She was president of P. E. O. of Eagle Grove. Mrs. Wasem was always of cheerful disposition, even in her suffering. Always charitable toward others she sought and brought out the best in everyone, and her helpfulness won for her many friends.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. S. V. Grebe, sister Mrs. W. L. Schubert, two brothers H. M. Grebe and Alva Grebe, all of Rockport, Mo., besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Wilson's Chapel Thursday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson in charge, and the body was taken to Rockport, Mo., where interment was made the afternoon of the same day.
