Services for William Schnell, 52, of 5022 44th Ave. Ct., Moline, Ill. will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Faith Lutheran Church, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.

Mr. Schnell died Monday morning in Lutheran Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Goldfield, Iowa, and married Ruby Gilligan Sept. 7, 1940, in Davenport. Mr. Schnell was employed as a service representative by AMETEK Inc., East Moline, for the last 28 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a son, the Rev. Michael of Bluff Springs; a daughter, Miss Terresa, at home; a grandchild; four brothers, Sander and Fred, both of Goldfield, Paul of Clarion, Iowa, and Henry of Moline, and four sisters, Mrs. Betty Berg of Rock Island, Mrs. Peggy Broadfoot of Moline, Mrs. Katherine Melhus of Mason City, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Beisel of Milwaukee, Wis.
