MRS. OLE K. UHR ANSWER FINAL SUMMONS

The community was saddened last Sunday evening to learn of the death of Mrs. Ole K. Uhr at her home on N. Wright avenue. Mrs. Uhr has never enjoyed good health and has been a patient sufferer for many years. Her entire interests centered in her home and she gave her all to her children, home and church. She is survived by her husband and five children, Miss Josie Uhr, Mrs. Cora Uhr Smith, Mrs. Lillian Uhr Codner, Orvin Uhr and Mrs. Ruby Uhr Jones. Seven grandchildren, her aged mother, and one brother, Ole Sandvig, also survive.

Gena Ersla Mekelia Sandvig was born in Wisconsin Dec. 30, 1870. From there the family moved to Illinois and later to Iowa. On Dec. 31, 1887, she was united in marriage with Ole K. Uhr and to this union five children were born, all of whom survive. For nearly twenty-seven years she has been under the doctor’s care. She passed to the great beyond Sunday evening, Oct. 16th. The funeral services were held at the home and United Lutheran church, Wednesday afternoon, October 19th. The interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community is extended the sorrowing relatives in the hour of their irretrievable loss.
