28 December 1891 ---- 5 February 1971

Ole Nervig was born December 28, 1891 in Eagle Grove to Amund and Rachel Chelesvig Nervig. He was baptized into the triune faith in January, 1892. On November 26, 1906 he renewed his baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation at Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died February 5, 1971 at Bethesda General Hospital in Fort Dodge after reaching the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 8 days.

Mr. Nervig received his education in the Eagle Grove Public Schools. He farmed in the Eagle Grove area for many years. On January 5, 1944 he was married to Florence Eble Presinger [Persinger] in Boone. They moved to Eagle Grove in 1944 and lived in their present location for the past 13 years. Ole entered Bethesda General Hospital January 5, where he steadily became weaker. He finally entered into a coma and on Friday, Feb. 5 he breathed his last.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters: Helen and Mabel; and three brothers: Severt, Amos and Joseph. Those who mourn his departure are his widow, Florence; four step-daughters: Mrs. Lawrence Ellwanger, Corydon; Mrs. Eugene Coler, Ogden; Mrs. Gerald Clause, Jefferson; Mrs. Wilbur Klassi, Greene; nine stepgrandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; two brothers: Peter Nervig, Le Center, Wash, and Martin Nervig, Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Feb. 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. H. W. Schiller, Pastor. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
