Ina Ethel Mitchell Tarbill
19 July 1902 -- 22 November 1970

Ina Ethel Mitchell was born July 19, 1902, at Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William
and Minnie Hillhouse Mitchell. She attended school at Ainsworth, Iowa, and graduated from high school at Crawfordsville, Iowa. She was united in marriage to William McCune of Cedar Rapids on September 9, 1923 at Washington. The couple then made their home at Washington. They became the parents of a son William J. McCune, now of Sacramento, Calif., and a daughter, Colleen, Mrs. Paul Van Blair, El Central, Calif. The family moved to Eagle Grove in 1933. Mr. McCune passed away in 1956. Mrs. McCune was united in marriage to Cecil Tarbill of Storm Lake on August 14, 1959 at Clarion. The couple returned to Eagle Grove to make their home, and were living here at the time of her death on Sunday, November 22, at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 3 days. She had not been in good health for the past 3 months, having been quite ill for that time.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil, her two children and one brother, Dale Mitchell, of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald Mitchell, and her first husband, William H. McCune. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Clarion and the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Owen Wilmot of the Church of Christ, Clarion officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Cecil Tarbill, 88, the former Ina McCune, died at her home Sunday morning after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. Owen Wilmott of the Church of Christ, Clarion, officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. She is survived by her husband; a son, William J. McCune of Sacramento, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Paul VanBlaine of El Centro, Calif, and one brother, Dale Mitchell of Crawfordsville, Iowa.
