Funeral services for Lars Stueland, age 70, of Eagle Grove were conducted at Kastler Funeral Home Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 2 by the Rev. Kenneth Torvik, Pastor of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Stueland died suddenly while doing chores Friday night on the Ole and Hilda Burras farm near Eagle Grove, where he has been employed the past 7 years.

Lars Stueland was born July 16, 1888 to Jens and Sigrid Stueland at Kvinhoried, Norway. He came to the United States with his parents in 1892. After three years in Elliot, Ill., the family moved to Humboldt County, Iowa. For the past seven years he has worked on the Ole and Hilda Burras farm, and previous to that, on the Ben Burass farm for several years.

He is survived by three sisters, Anna, Mrs. Frank McCabe of Omaha; Jennie, Mrs. C. P. Ostergard of Omaha and Thor, Mrs. Geo. Leckington of Waterloo and one brother Erick Stueland of Eagle Grove.
