LILLIE MARGARET CODNER

Lillie Margaret Codner was born February 24,1893 at Holmes, Iowa, the daughter of. Ole K. and Gena Sandvik Uhr. She moved to Eagle Grove at an early age, and was educated in Eagle Grove.

She was united in marriage to. Elba Rue Codner of Eagle Grove on May 31, 1912, at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where he was employed by the Eagle Grove Creamery until his death in a truck accident in 1943.

Mrs. Codner continued to live in Eagle Grove until moving to the Humboldt Care Center and from there to the Clarion Care Center in 1983. She was in ill health for some time. She died Sunday, March 22, 1987 at the age of 94 years, and 28 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Orvin Uhr, and sisters, Josephine Johnston and Cora Smith.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ruby Jones, Eagle Grove and several nieces and nephews.

Lillie was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Circle and Ladies Aid.

Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, March 22, 1987 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, Iowa. Rev. Paul Schaedig officiated, and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
