AGED CORWITH WOMAN IS DEAD

Mrs. Frisbie Dies at Daughter's Home Following Illness

CORWITH –Mrs. Philappine Frisbie, 87, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chris Rasmussen of Renwick following an illness of a week with pneumonia.

Mrs. Frisbie had been living with her daughter since she fell from an automobile, suffering a broken arm and other injuries some time ago.

A native of Germany, Mrs. Frisbie had lived in Corwith 25 years. She came to the United States with her parents when 6 months old. She was the widow of F. S. Frisbie, a blacksmith and wagon maker here for 24 years prior to his death nearly two years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Frisbie had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before his death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in Mrs. Frisbie’s home here and at 2 o'clock in the First Baptist church with the Rev. Von B. Elbert in charge. Burial will be at Goldfield.

Mrs. Frisbie is survived by 78 descendants, including seven children, 31grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

MRS. FRISBIE'S SERVICES HELD

Funeral for Aged Corwith Woman Held in Baptist Church

CORWITH—Funeral services for Mrs. Phillappine Frisbie, 87, were held at the First Baptist church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Von B. Elbert officiating.

Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Harvey Hankins, Charles Thompson, Mrs. Armond Tabb and Mrs. Ernest Bonnsteiter with Miss Portia Johnson accompanist, Pallbearers were Bert Meyers, Ed Frey, Lester Hash, Claude Bogard, Charles Thompson and A, S. Beckman. Burial was made in the Goldfield cemetery.

Surviving are four sons, Bert of Corwith, George of Ringsted, Harlow of Fairmont, Minn., and Ben of Britt, three daughters. Mrs. Chris Rasmussen of near Goldfield, Mrs. John Loy ot Mason City and Bertha Cox of Burt, and there are 31 grandchildren and 40 grandchildren.
