Angle Edward Asche, 83, Eagle Grove, died Sunday night at Ellen's Convalescent Heath Center, Fort Dodge, where he had been a resident the past year. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mary) Henningson, Clear Lake, Mrs. Warren (Mildred) Reed, Eagle Grove, Mrs. Harold (Alice) Lessmeier, Fort Dodge, and Linda K. Asche, Eagle Grove; sons, Edward, Joseph, Donald, Robert, and John, all of Eagle Grove, Kenneth and Richard, both of Clarion, Ronald, Norco, Calif., and Terry G. Arne, Eagle Grove; 66 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren.

He was born in Illinois. In 1913 he moved to Kanawha with his parents. He married Alice J. Omvig in 1925 at Kanawha. They lived and farmed near Kanawha, Denhart and Clarion. They later moved to Eagle Grove. Mrs. Asche died in March 1985.

ANGLE EDWARD ASCHE

Angle Edward Ache, the son of Weert W. and Marie Heyerhorst Asche was born September 30, 1902 at Forreston, Illinois. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Kanawha, Iowa, where he grew up and received his education. On Dec. 22, 1925, he was united in marriage to Alice Josephine Omvig in the Christian Reformed Church at Kanawha. The couple lived and farmed in the Kanawha, Denhart, and Clarion areas and later the family moved to Eagle Grove. he worked as a tiler for many years, and was employed by Ernie Kell and the Halverson family. He has been a resident of Ellen's Convalescent Health Center in Fort Dodge for the past year. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in 1984.

He died Sunday night, March 2, 1986, at Ellen's Convalescent Center in Fort Dodge at the age of 83 years, five months and two days.

He is survived by 14 children: Mary, Mrs. Ray Henningson of Clear Lake, Iowa; Edward A. Asche of Eagle Grove; Joseph F. Asche of Eagle Grove, Donald E. Asche of Eagle Grove; Kenneth A. Asche of Clarion; Mildred, Mrs. Warren Reed of Eagle Grove; Alice Jean, Mrs. Harold Lessmeier of Fort Dodge; Richard A. Asche of Clarion; Ronald L. Asche of Norco, Calif.; Lawrence D. Asche of Eagle Grove; Robert L Asche of Eagle Grove; Linda K. Asche of Eagle Grove; John D. Asche of Eagle Grove; 66 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice, who died in March of 1985; as sister Freda Terhark; five brothers; Joe, Ben, Klaus, Fred and Louis; two half-sisters, Tena Hayenga and Martha Mooga; and three half-brothers, Weert, Tab and Angle Asche.

Funeral services for Angle Edward Asche, 83, of Eagle Grove, were held Wednesday, March 5, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Chruch in Eagle Grove. Rev. Paul Schaedig, church pastor officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held on Tuesday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
