Robert B. Faint, 83, Webster City, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Mike Morgan officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Foster Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robert B. Faint, son of Joseph and Lou Amy Faint, was born Jan. 14, 1916 at Greene. On Nov. 17, 1939 he married Lucille Heitland at Ackley. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Aplington, later moving to Eagle Grove to manage Highview Farms and then on to own and manage a hog buying station in Havelock. He also operated a sale barn in Pocahontas. The couple then moved to the Webster City area where he was manager of Treasure Acre Farms, working with Valley and Farmland Cooperatives and in recent years, working part time with Choices Made Independently in Webster City.

Survivors are his daughter, Janice Faint, Webster City, a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Zanya Faint of Harrison, NE., daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Rick Brisbin, Bayard, NE., two granddaughters and their husbands, Jody and Craig Poe, Bayard, NE., and Jamie and Keiran Breslin, Carrboro, NC., a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ed Adamson, Calumus, IA., and a brother, Donald Faint of Dumont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille in 1982 and a brother, Leroy Faint.

Mr. Faint was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the Iowa and American Angus Association, Hamilton County and Iowa Cattlemans Association, and an Alumni member of the Hamilton County 4-H Foundation. For many years, Mr. Faint judged livestock shows and organized livestock grooming clinics all over the Midwest.
