F. S. FRISBIE’S FUNERAL HELD

Pioneer Blacksmith of Corwith Buried in Goldfield Cemetery

CORWITH -- Funeral services or F. S. Frisbie, 84, were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church. The Rev. Paul Williams of Humboldt, former pastor here, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Von Elbert. Burial was n the Goldfield cemetery.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Donald, Raymond and Harold Frisbie of Fairmont. Minn., Robert Lepper and Harry Frisbie of Corwith and a great-grandson, Durwood Stroud, of Renwick.

Surviving are his wife, four sons and three daughters, Bert of Corwith, Mrs. Tillie Rasmussen of Renwick, Mrs. Nelle Unger of Britt, George of Ringsted, Harlow of Fairmont, Minn., Ben of Britt and Mrs. Bertha Cox of Burt. One son, Frank, preceded his father in death.

There are also 32 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Miles of Newton and. Mrs. Mary Preston of Auburndale, Fla., and one brother, F. L. Frisbie, of Tampa, Fla.

BLACKSMITH OF CORWITH DIES

Services Saturday for F. S. Frisbie, Pioneer of City

CORW1TH –Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church for Ferd S. Frisbie 84, pioneer blacksmith and wagonmaker, who died Thursday morning following a week's illness of pneumonia. The Rev. Paul William of Humboldt, former pastor here will officiate, and burial will be in the family lot at Goldfield.

Mr. Frisbie had until a year ago been active in his occupation for 64 years. He opened a black shop here in 1916.

Surviving are his 87-year-old widow, seven children, 31 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

BOONE CENTER

Mrs. C. L. Rasmussen returned home Monday evening from Corwith. Mrs. Rasmussen’s father F. Frisbie passed away and the funeral was held at Corwith last Saturday.
