RAYMOND C. SUMMERS

Raymond Charles Summers was born on August 15, 1905, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Charles and Carrie Summers. He lived in Wyoming as a child and later moved to Fort Dodge as a teen. He retired from U. S. Gypsum in Fort Dodge after many years of employment He was of the Baptist faith.

Raymond C. Summers died Thursday, February 18, 1999, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt, Iowa, at the age of 93.

Survivors include five sons: George Summers, Columbus, Ga., Delbert Summers, Spokane, Wash., Robert Summers, Provo, Utah, Walter Summers, Bradgate, Iowa, and Clifford Summers, Stratford, Iowa; three daughters: Elizabeth Summers, Spokane, Dixie Gudmonson, Thor, Iowa, and Carla Faiferlick, Fort Dodge; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sons; one daughter; his first wife to whom be was married 47 years, Evelyn Wolff Summers; and his second wife to whom be was married 20 years, Anna Krantz Summers.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 22,1999, at 1 p.m. at Brace's Funeral Home with the Reverend David B. Hammar of the First Baptist Church of Fort Dodge officiating. Burial was held at the Otho Cemetery in Otho, Iowa.

Brace's Funeral Home in Fort Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
