BARBARA J. MALLINGER
Barbara Joan Crovisier was born March 3, 1940, near Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Harry and Verla Crovisier. She was raised on a farm near Thor, Iowa, and attended Eagle Grove school, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1958. She married James Mallinger December 14, 1962, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. She worked at Fort Dodge Laboratories from 1968 until retiring in 1997 due to ill health.

Barbara J. Mallinger died Monday, December 20, 1999, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, at the age of 59. She is survived by her husband, James Mallinger; one son, Brett, Fort Dodge; two daughters, Colleen Owings, and Collette Prill, both of Sheridan, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren; mother, Verla Crovisier, Thor; and a sister, Betty Davis, Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Crovisier.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 23, 1999, at 12:30 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge, and at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove, with Reverend Chris Oosbree celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Burial was held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Duncombe. Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
