The few cases of scarlet fever in the city have moved the authorities to take every precaution to prevent it spreading. The schools, library, churches and theatres are closed for this week. Two deaths have occurred, the 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Haldeman and one daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Jensen. The community sympathizes most deeply with these bereaved parents in their great afflictions made doubly serious and affecting by the restraints and isolation of quarantine. It is expected all restrictions will be removed next Monday and that the schools will resume that day.
