Word has been received of the sudden death of Richard (Rick) Michael Sandt, 47, Arvada, CO. He died Sunday, May 16, 1999 in a Colorado Hospital following heart by-pass surgery. Memorial services wee held May 20, 1999 in Arvada, CO. and May 25, 1999 in Kiester, MN.

Richard Sandt was born Jan. 1, 1952 in Webster City, the son of Donald R. and Lois J. Proctor Sandt. The family formerly lived in Woolstock, where Mr. Sandt was a teacher and coach at Woolstock Public School.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Jason, and grandchildren Nathan and Isaac of Arvada, and son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Tirzah of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are his parents and three brothers, residing in Kiester, MN., and a sister in Amboy, MN. He is the grandson of Norma Hilpipre and the nephew of Alan and Marcy Shehorn, all of Webster City.
