May 4, 1918 --- August 16, 1999

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for Fern Reinsel, 81, Blairsburg. Rev. John J. Walsh was the celebrant. Mrs. Reinsel died Monday, August 16 at the Clarion Health Care Center. Private burial was in the Graceland Cemetery. There was no visitation and arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.

Fern Laura Risk, daughter of Albert and Jeanette Olson Risk, was born May 4, 1918 in Minnesota. On Feb. 22, 1941 she married John Charles Reinsel at Webster City. The couple farmed in the Blairsburg area retiring in the early 80's. They remained on the farm until failing health required them to enter the care center.

Survivors are her husband John "Jack" Reinsel of Webster City; two sisters, Arlene Mutchler of Rockford, Ill., and Phyllis Patterson of Lakeside, CA. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
