BELMOND - Eleanor Peterson, 48, died of natural causes Sunday in the hospital at Belmond. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Belmond with burial in Alexander.

Andrew-Quesenberry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband, James; four children, Rex, Theresa Bell, Calista and Max, all at home, and her mother, Mrs. Chris (Nellie) Miller, Belmond.

ELEANOR PETERSON

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist church for Eleanor Bell Leebrick Peterson, with Rev. Robert Newberg officiating at the services. Andrew-Quesenberry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was at the Alexander Cemetery.

Eleanor Bell Leebrick Peterson was born the daughter of John Henry and Nellie Bell Leebrick. She was married May 11, 1954 to James C. Peterson at Alden, Ia.

As a child she was baptized in the Hampton Methodist church. She attended the Hampton grade school until the third grade, at which time the family moved from Hampton to a farm near Alexander. She graduated from Alexander High School. Later moved to Belmond.

Eleanor was confirmed in the Methodist church in Belmond as a teenager. She attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City and graduated from there.

She was a member of the church circle. She was previously employed by Iowa Electric and during the last eight years she drove a school bus for the Belmond schools.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1952.

Survived by: her mother, Nellie (Mrs. Chris) Miller; her husband, James C. Peterson; and four children at home, Rex, Theresa Bell, Calista and Max.

Casket bearers for the funeral were: David Crawford, Bob Cooke, Lowell Followwill, Dennis McNulty, Charles Wilson and Robert Lerdal.
