EAGLE GROVE, Iowa --- Services for LaVerne Fatland, 66, of Pine City, Minn., formerly of 1102 S. Zenith Ave., Davenport, were held this afternoon at Kastler, Babcock, DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Mr. Fatland died at his home Sunday after an apparent heart attack. He had retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He married Avonell Nelson in 1943 in Eagle Grove. She died in 1945. Mr. Fatland moved to Pine City from Davenport in July 1978. Survivors include sisters, Margaret Fatland, Glendale, Calif., Lottie Fatland and Edith Fatland, both of Davenport, and Mrs. Kenneth Wildman, Rock Island.
