A graveside service for Edward Wellman, 78, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, was Dec. 10 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Wellman died Monday, Dec. 6, 1993, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City, Iowa. He was born Aug. 9, 1915, in Fremont [Nebraska] and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1933. He was a sales representative for Promico Mills in Eagle Grove and retired in 1985. He worked part time for Iowa Testing Laboratories in Eagle Grove until August. Wellman was a member of United Church of Christ, Bower Lodge 464 and Eagle Grove Country Club, all in Eagle Grove. He married Dorothy Peterson July 5, 1934, in Papillion. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Marlyn Rosebery of Carmel, Calif., and Linda Golbuff of Eagle Grove; two sisters Lola Jens of Fremont and Darlene Vabine of San Francisco and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother. Kastler-Babcock Services of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
