Services for Edmond S. Lonning, 79, of Waterloo, were held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 18, 1984 at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Waterloo with interment at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Merle Hay Cemetery in Glidden. Rev. Tim Donovan officiated. There was a Masonic service Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lonning died at his home Wednesday morning, May 16. He was born June 20, 1904, at Thor, son of Jacob and Anna Nelson Lonning. He married Faye Zehrung May 15, 1943 in Missouri. He was a real estate broker and appraiser for 30 years in the metro area and had been associated with Hill Realty Co. in Cedar Falls. He was a past president of the Waterloo Board of Realtors. Survivors include his wife; three brothers: Col. Stanley Lonning of San Anselma, Calif.; Donald Lonning of Chester, Pa., and Arthur Lonning of Iowa City; and three sisters: Toni Graham, Kay Lonning and Florence Lonning, all of Minneapolis.
