Gordon K. Strain, 74, of Thor, passed away on Sunday morning February 10, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.

He was born May 13, 1944 in Eagle Grove, to Kenneth and Grace (Wood) Strain. He grew up in Eagle Grove and graduated Fort Dodge High School in 1962. He was united in marriage to Alice Innis on November 8, 1969. The couple made their home in Thor and Gordon worked for Bomgaards [Bomgaars] in Eagle Grove. He enjoyed horses, loved music and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Becky Sievdlindger of Burnsville, Iowa, Thomas (Kris Ann) Strain and Steven (Alyssa) Strain both of Thor, his grandchildren, Nick, Cody, Keara, Gavin, Alesha, Felicity, Kandace, Stacia, Deklin and Bella, one great grandchild, Jax. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Alice.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
