Funeral services for Mrs. W. F. Weidemann, 64, were held Tuesday, November 10 at the First Lutheran Church in Dows with the Rev. Donald Langhough officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery with the Van Hove Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Weidemann of rural Alden, lifelong Wright County resident died Sunday morning at the University Hospital in Iowa City.
She was born February 22, 1900 in Vernon Twp., the daughter of Edward and Josephine Evans. February 27, 1921 Ethel Gail Evans was married to W. F. [William F.] Weidemann at the Vernon Lutheran church. She is survived by her husband and one son, Harold of Iowa Falls; three grandchildren and six brothers, Leo Evans of Iowa Falls; Alger Evans of Eagle Grove; Dan Evans of Salem, Oregon; Kermit Evans of Austin, Minnesota; Floyd Evans of Los Angeles, California, and Donald Evans of Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
