Kenneth Bleeker, 53, died Thursday at University Hospital, Iowa City, where he had been flown the same day from Clarion Community Hospital. He had been ill with pneumonia since Monday. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. at the First Lutheran church, with the Rev. Richard Larson as the officiating pastor. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery with the Eyler Funeral Home in charge. Born at Ackley, Mr. Bleeker had resided at Clarion about 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Opal; one son, Rodney of Denver, Colo.; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Sandra Boucher Jackson of Kanawha and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Kenneth J. Bleeker were held Monday afternoon, November 9 at two o'clock at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard A. Larson officiating. Burial was in Clarion Evergreen Cemetery with Eyler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Special music was furnished by Wayne Ebert, organist, and Mrs. Don Schroeder, soloist. Pallbearers were Francis Bloxham, Glenn Loux, Dean Schroeder, Jerry Carroll, Wendell Gardner and Vernon Chapman.

Kenneth Bleeker, son of Barney and Katherine Bleeker was born at Ackley, Iowa, on October 31, 1911 and departed this life November 5, 1964. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Janssen in 1955. To this union was born one son, Rodney. in July of 1957 he was married to Opal Boucher. Mr. Bleeker spent his early married life farming near Ackley, but had lived in Clarion for the past thirty years. He was employed for seven years by the Great Western Railway and then for ten years by the Wright County R. E. C.

Survivors include his wife, Opal, a son, Rodney of Denver, Colorado, a step-daughter, Sandra, Mrs. Junior Jackson of Kanawha, a grandson, Greg Bleeker and his mother, Mrs. Katherine Bleeker of Eldora. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
