Ronald L. Mosher, 75, died at his home in Des Moines on January 25, 2019. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 and one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, January 31. All services will be held at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Altoona Cemetery.

Ron was born in Clarion, IA on June 18, 1943 to the late Robert and Elda (Bayliss) Mosher, Jr. He graduated from Clarion High School in 1961 then served in the US Navy until 1964. He was a 33 year member of the Teamsters, working for American Freight then at Kile Transfer Trucking Co. He retired in 1998. Ron went to the Drake Relays annually and enjoyed NASCAR and dirt track racing. He loved spending time with family, especially attending his grandchildren’s events.

Ron was preceded death by his wife, Joyce (Bygness) Mosher and brother, Roger Mosher. He is survived by twin daughters, Rhonda Jones of Des Moines and Roberta (David) Osterquist of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Leslie (Mike) Oaks of Altoona; brother, Richard Mosher of Edinburg, TX; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
