November 9, 1916 ---- November 15, 1999

Clarence H. Noffke, 83, Webster City, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999 at Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10:30 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery. The Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Harold Noffke, son of Henry and Mary Sinclair Noffke, was born Nov. 9, 1916 at Eagle Grove. He attended rural school in Cass Township and graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1934. He attended diesel mechanic school in Des Moines. He started farming with his father. On Nov. 27, 1937, he married Evelyn W. Schwiebert at Webster City. The couple farmed north of Webster City. They moved into Webster in 1978. For 50 years, he sold seed corn for Lester Pfister Hybrids.

Survivors are his wife, Evelyn, daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Ross Stueber, St. Louis, and Beverly and Ted Tomashewsky of Webster City, son and daughter-in-law, Dwain and Mary Noffke, Webster City, grandchildren, Matthew, Kirk and Alicia Stueber, Katrina Muganyizi, Kris Odegaard, Andrew Tomashewsky, step-brother Leland Jones, Council Bluffs, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Zelma Noffke, sisters Helen Huse and Lenora Miller, brother, Robert Noffke.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Board of Elders, various church offices and for many years was head usher, Lutheran Laymen League, Lutheran Men's Club, a former Hamilton County Fair Superintendent - agriculture division, a former United Co-op Board member, former Farm Bureau board member, and a former board member of the Cass Electric Light Board and was a Cass Township Trustee.
