Hazel "Rae" Bobinet, 75, of Thor, passed away Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. She was born January 27, in Iowa City, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Elliott) Fincher. She grew up in Tama and in July of 1961 was united in marriage to Donald W. Bobinet. The couple lived on a farm near Tama and later lived in Deep River, Reinbeck and Gowrie until moving to Thor in the late 1970’s. Rae worked as a nurses aide for Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge and later the Humboldt Care Center North and the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. She enjoyed quilting and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Thor, her sons, Lorence (Jess) Bobinet of Rolfe and Douglas Bobinet of Thor, her grandchildren, Seth, Samantha and Brock, a great-granddaughter, Luciana, her brothers, Roger (Lucy) Fincher of Iowa City and Charles Fincher of Tama and her sister, Nancy (David) Blocker of Tama. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bruce and her sister, Carla Buckley.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31st with visitation one hour prior at 9:30 a.m. at the Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor.
