Mrs. Joseph Osman, 88, Twin Lakes, Wisc., formerly of Eagle Grove, died January 11 at her home following a short illness. The funeral service was at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on January 15. The Rev. H. W. Schiller of the Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Kenneth Knudson of Churdan, Donald L. Knudson, Yankton, S.D., Mrs. Wayne Howorth, Mrs. Gene Ivano, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Atwood Weaver, Des Plaines, Ill., Richard Osman, Hazel Crest, Ill., Glenn Osman, Twin Lakes, Wisc., Joe Osman and Jess Osman, Aurora, Ill., and 22 grandchildren.
Mrs. Osman, the former Mildred Nelson, was born September 1, 1884, in Humboldt County, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nelson. She was married to Linsworth Knudson on February 21, 1912. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1935. To this union were born the following children: Alice Knudson who died in infancy, Kenneth R. Knudson and Donald L. Knudson. On October 10, 1943 she was married to Joseph Osman at Britt where the couple resided most of their married life.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Knudson of Churdan, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Knudson of Yankton, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Glen Osman of Racine, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ivano of Chicago, were present with Joe Osman Monday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Joe Osman.
