Services for Josephine M. Thompson, 78, who died of cancer September 29th at Riverview Manor, 701 Riverview Street were held October 1st at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. A second service was held at the Lutheran Church in Holmes.

Miss Thompson, a retired registered nurse was born at Leland, IL April 7th, 1888. She came here three years ago from Minneapolis. She had attended Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis and was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church there.

Surviving are three sisters: Mary Thompson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Orville Joseph and Mrs. Raymond Long of Goldfield.
