Former Franklin County Man Dies
Glenn H. McVicker Dies after Heart Attack

Glenn H. McVicker, former West Fork township resident, died Tuesday night in the Lutheran hospital at Fort Dodge after a heart attack suffered Saturday. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Sandvig funeral home, at Eagle Grove and burial will be about 3:00 p. m. at Lamoni.

Mr. McVicker engaged in farming in Franklin county from 1911 until his retirement four years ago, when he moved to Eagle Grove to live with a son. Two of his ten children live in Franklin county. They are David McVicker of near Hansell, and Daniel McVicker, of West Fort township.

Funeral Friday At Sandvig's For Glen H. McVicker
Glen H. McVicker, 76, died Tuesday evening in Lutheran hospital, Ft. Dodge where he had been a patient since Saturday evening following a heart attack. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at the Sandvig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni.

Mr. McVicker, who made his home with his son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McVicker, is also survived by three other sons, Jesse of Clear Lake, David of Hampton and Daniel of Dougherty, and six daughters: Mrs. Eldoon Colyer of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Albert Gabrielson, Panora, Mrs. Robert Ficham, [Fincham] Ames; Mrs. Ray Garrett, Ft. Worth, Tex.; Mrs. Douglas Jones, Lawtey, Fla. and Mrs. Donald Ross of Pittsburg, Pa. Other survivors are 39 grandchildren, and two brothers, Claude McVicker of Eagle Grove and Rev. Roy McVicker of Denver, Colo.

Mr. McVicker was born July 27, 1886 in Ree Heights, S.D. to parents Ira D. and Flora Hiatt McVicker. He was married Nov. 27, 1912, to Bessie Luella Middleton who died in 1959. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.
