Mildred Mary Crovisier was born on April 28, 1909, to Charles and Mary Kastler Crovisier near Eagle Grove, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Williams on June 4, 1933, in Stanhope, Iowa. She taught country schools in Wright and Hamilton Counties for 20 years, with an additional 14 years in the Eagle Grove School System. She retired in 1972. She also worked at the Woolstock Telephone office in Woolstock, Iowa, was secretary of Woolstock School Board and worked on the election board for many years. She was a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Woolstock Methodist Church and the Ban de la Roche French Club.
Mildred M. Williams died Monday, February 15, 1999, at the Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Webster City, Iowa, at the age of 89. Survivors include her husband, Bob; one daughter, Mary Jean Ciemiewicz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, one brother, Fred Crovisier of Eagle Grove; and one sister, Ethel Horton of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence, Harry, John, and Milford; and a sister, Margaret.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 19,1999, at 2 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with Oscar Davis, CLS, officiating. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
