Kathy Ann Hill, 68, of Humboldt, passed away August 25, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and parish scripture service at 7 p.m.
Kathy Ann McKenna was born February 22, 1950 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Robert Thomas and Aurilla Ella (Blesie) McKenna. She was raised in Hardy, Iowa and graduated in 1968 from Boone Valley Community School in Renwick. She attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in July 1969.
Kathy practiced at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge from 1969 to 1975. On July 21, 1973, she was united in marriage to Dale Hill in Fort Dodge. In 1975, the family moved to Humboldt where Kathy practiced nursing at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital for 40 years. The last 29 years of her career were spent serving the Long Term Care Unit of the hospital.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Dale Hill of Humboldt; sons, Brian (Jennifer) Hill of Ames and Brad Hill of Humboldt; granddaughters, Bailey and Abbie Hill; sister, Sandy (Don) Prilipp of Algona; brother, Darold (Judy) McKenna of Hardy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Barb Hill of Omaha, Dennis and Char Hill of Lehigh, Linda and Bill Weber of Atoka, OK, and Dean and Jeanne Hill of Fort Dodge; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Denny Prilipp; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Duane and Esther Hill; and sister-in-law, Donna Hill.
