Larry Hawley, 73, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage [Sioux Falls, South Dakota]. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Linwood Wesleyan Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present from 5-7pm Friday at Heritage Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm.

Larry Lee Hawley was born on October 31, 1944 at Belmond , Iowa to Rex and June (Greenfield) Hawley. He grew up at Belmond where he graduated from Belmond High School. On June 29, 1963 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Kaye Otten at Belmond. They lived in Webster City, IA for seven years until moving to Sioux Falls where they lived the next 47 years. He worked in a neighborhood grocery store before working in delivery and stock shelves in rural stores in southeastern South Dakota. After working as a dispatcher for School Bus Inc. he was a security guard until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of Linwood Wesleyan Church. Kaye died in 2016.

Grateful for having shared his life are his three children, Darin (Brenda), Orlando, FL, Shelly (Kevin Larson), Floodwood, MN, and Jason, Sioux Falls; 4 grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Coleton, and Madelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kaye, a sister in infancy, and 3 brothers, Kennie, Rick, and Doug.
