Altoona, IA ---- Blanche Loretta Roosa, 92, of the 300 block of First Street East in Altoona died of a blood ailment Saturday at Center for Long Term Care in Norwalk. The body was cremated, and no services are planned. Mrs. Roosa was born in Manhattan, Kan., and had lived in Altoona 50 years. She was a retired counselor at the Iowa State Girls Training School in Mitchellville and a member of Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by four daughters, Delores Boeman of Clarion, Beverly Bernaman and Karen Treble, both of Mason City, and Phyllis Coon of Altoona; two sons, Larry Paine of Hawaii, and Donald Gather of California; 35 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James.
