E. C. NEWCOMB RITES FRIDAY
Funeral services for E. C. Newcomb, 86, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the United Methodist Church. Rev. Don Glazier will be in charge and interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery beside his wife. Mr. Newcomb is survived by two sons and two daughters, Monroe and Donald, and Mrs. Carroll Helgevold of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Paul Ringer of Fayetteville, N.C., 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Newcomb was a life long resident of this community
and farmed East of Eagle Grove until retiring in 1947 at which time Mr. and Mrs. Newcomb moved to their home at 715 S. W. 2nd. When health failed for both of them they moved to the Rotary Ann Home and Mrs. Newcomb [Edna (Wood) Newcomb] died this past June.
