Charles Arthur Deibler, son of Chas. H. and Mary E. was born at Tama, Iowa, May 19, 1891 and with his parents moved to Eagle Grove, Ia. in 1892. He attended Sacred Heart School and graduated in 1910. After graduation he assisted at the Groesbeck Theatre, later was employed by the C. & N. W. in the capacity of brakeman. He entered business in the "Bostonia” in partnership with L. Ramer, later R. Walters. He enlisted in the U. S. army in 1918, serving with the Motor Transport Corp. during World War I. He was married to Miss Rose Merk of Clarion, Iowa on Sept. 29, 1918. Mr. and Mrs. Deibler left here in 1934 going to Enumclaw, Wash., where he was employed by Mr. Groesbeck in the theatre business. Four years ago they moved to Seattle, where he was employed by the John Homerick Theatre Co., in whose employ he remained until his sudden death on Nov. 9, 1953. He was a member of the American Legion, Holy Name, Society of Motion Picture Operators Union.
Services were held in Seattle Nov. 11th. Rosary and military services were held at Kastler Funeral Home and graveside burial in Calvary cemetery. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Rose, sister, Ruth Mann, brother, F. A. Deibler, four nephews and one niece. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: F. A. Deibler, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Wilcox, Jack Wilcox, Rapid City, S. D.; Mrs. W. W. Hitchcock, Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Bob Darr, Mrs. James Watrous, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Kayser of Waseca, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Hoaf of Britt, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoick, Jr. of Corwith, Iowa, Mrs. Wm. Kriesell of Owatonna, Minn., Miss Juliann Kayser of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoaf of Garner, Iowa., Mr. and Mrs. John Thul of Algona, Mr. and Mrs. George Thul and Mr. and Mrs. John Thul of Bode, Iowa.
