Richard Coustable Anthony Nicoletti, the son of Anthony and Rose (Altamore) Nicoletti, was born on December 15, 1943, in Bayside, New York. He attended school in Bayside, NY, then ICCC in Fort Dodge and Buena Vista, where he graduated with his B.A. in Human Services. Rich drove truck for many years and moved from Brooklyn, NY in 1975 to take a truck driving job in Iowa. He drove for Umthun Trucking, Gold-Eagle Coop, Wadle Farms, Custom Meats and K&K Construction.

Rich was married to Connie Grandgeorge from 1976 – 1999, they lived in Eagle Grove, and raised a daughter Nicole and son Tag. Rich was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time at home with his long-time girlfriend, Kathy and they spent many summer weekends at Saylorville Marina staying on the boat and took countless motorcycle trips together.

Rich enjoyed cooking, especially when he cooked for his family on “Good Food Sunday”! He was a Harley enthusiast and a member of the “Silver Fox” Club.

Rich passed away on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, at the age of 74 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts, Marion Sullivan and Lydia Striano and uncle, Joe Altamore. Survivors include his girlfriend, Kathy Willard of Eagle Grove; daughter, Nicole Nicoletti-Calvert (Jamie) of Eagle Grove; step-son, Tag Grandgeorge (Megan) of Des Moines; grandson, Axyl and granddaughter – on-the-way; sister, Umenia Nicoletti; niece, Annette Staropoli; nephew, Joseph Staropoli and great-nephew, Joseph Staropoli, Jr. all of Bayside, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 10th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove, with Father Jerry Blake, Celebrating. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 4:30 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
