Anna Martha Jacobson was born in Mauranger, Norway, Europe, on August 16, 1876, and came to the United States in 1896. She was married to Emil Thompson. One little girl. Alma, was born to this union. Mr. Thompson died here in Eagle Grove January 7, 1903. She was again married to Johannis Roseland. One son, Arthur, was born to this union. After a brief illness of about two weeks she died in her home on N. Montgomery Ave. Sunday morning March 25, 1923, age 51 years, seven months and nine days. She leaves her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Alma Nelson of Goldfield and one son, Arthur Roseland, also one grandchild and one sister still in Norway. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the home on North Montgomery Ave., and the East Side Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
