Robert Grill dies in Florida

Retired U.S. Navy Captain Robert William Grill, 70, son of longtime Eagle Grove residents. William and Frances Grill, died March 6 at his residence in Pensacola, Fla. Capt. Grill was a native of Eagle Grove and graduated with the class of 1940. He has resided in Pensacola since 1966. At the time of his retirement he was commanding officer of the Fleet Weather Facility at Pensacola Naval Air Station. Capt. Grill, a Navy aviator, was a combat veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife Audrey; two sons, two daughters; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Ferne) Larsen of Eagle Grove. Military services were held Tuesday, March 9. Private family services will be held at a later date.
