Bonnie Jean Williamson, 80, of Clear Lake, died Monday, May 7, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at Clear Lake Open Bible Church, 509 S. 17th St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Will Hunsaker officiating. Burial will be at Clear Lake Cemetery in Clear Lake. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Bonnie Williamson.

Bonnie was born July 3, 1937 in Belmond, IA, the daughter of Frank and Henrietta (Pals) Ostendorf. She attended Belmond country school, Goodell Elementary and graduated from Ventura High School in 1955. Bonnie loved spending time with her six children, and was happy when there was a snow day, so they could be together playing cards.

Bonnie married LeRoy V. Williamson April 12, 1979 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They have spent valued time with their family; Bonnie loved big family get-togethers and holidays, especially the Fourth of July and Christmas. All her family knew Bonnie’s favorite “Season” – Garage Sale Season. She also enjoyed fishing, golfing, gambling and playing cards.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband LeRoy V. Williamson, Clear Lake, IA; six children Eugene “Skeeter” (Vicki) Welch Jr., Clear Lake, IA, Kim (John) Strizak, Akron, OH, Darla (Dale) Winter, Mason City, IA, Lori (Mario) Ortega, Mason City, IA, Julie Barnes and her fiancé Jai Smith, West Des Moines, IA, Vicki (Dale) Crawford, Granger, IA; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Bergman, Clear Lake, IA; brothers Verlynn “Ole” Ostendorf and Ronald (Shirley) Ostendorf, all from Clear Lake, IA; sister-in-law Vivian Freeman, Albert Lea, MN; brothers-in-law Jerry Williamson, Northwood, IA, Steve (Lona) Williamson, Waseca, MN and Terry (Mary) Williamson, Glenville, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Virginia and Ray Williamson, brothers-in-law, Billy Bergman Sr., Tom and Robert Williamson, Don Freeman; nephew Billy Bergman Jr.; nieces Janie Bergman Bernhoft and Stacey Williamson; her grandparents; many uncles and aunts; close friends Frank and Dorothy Blackbourn; and many other friends.
