Lillian (Keppers) BREJDA
OKLAHOMA CITY -- We lost a wonderful lady and great mother on May 7, 2018, at home, in her sleep, just the way she wanted. Lillian was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Eagle Grove, IA to Henry & Catherine (Degen) Keppers. She will be missed by her six children, Trudy Peterson, Layton, UT; Therese Patton (David), Black Lake, NM; Marcia Brejda, of the home; Andrew Brejda (Jean), Martinez, GA; John Brejda, Lincoln, NE; and Michael Brejda (Julie), Las Vegas, NV; also, her grandchildren, Chris, Katie, Karyn, Gina, John, Joseph, Matthew, Joel, Josiah, Joshua, James, and Caleb. The seven great-grandchildren were so proud of "Little Grandma," Cole, Masy, Maddie, Mallory, Katlin, and Jackson.

Lillian worked at Sears in teletype, stationary, and auditing before moving on to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church as a secretary, her home parish for over 40 years, where she was named Woman of the Year. For the last seven years, Lillian was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, where she was active as a lector and communion minister. She then operated a homebased business as a Juice Plus distributor until just two years ago. She was a graduate of Eagle Grove High School.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Andrew; her parents; brothers, Roger and Harold; and sisters, Helen Keppers and Berniece Woodburn; as well as her son-in-law, James D. Peterson. Her faith was her number one priority and then her family. She is survived by her sister, Leona Ford, Castle Rock, CO.

The two greatest gifts she gave her children were her faith and a love for reading and education. The Vigil Service will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 14 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 7336 W. Britton Rd., OKC, with a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the same church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to Archdiocese of OKC Seminar Fund, P.O. Box 32180, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
