25 August 1908 ---- 14 December 1991

Effie Bromm, 83, Webster City, died Saturday at the Hamilton County Public Hospital. Services were today at Foster's Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Artrip officiating and burial in the Cass Center Cemetery.

Effie Kathleen Ferguson Bromm, daughter of John and Roma (Trinkle) Ferguson, was born Aug. 25, 1908 at Mill Town, Ind. She moved with her parents when she was 12 to Webster City. Mrs. Bromm graduated from Webster City High School in 1928. She taught for two years at the Thompson rural school, north of Webster City, and one year at the Mulberry Center school. On May 23, 1931, she married George J. Bromm in Webster City. They moved to Edson, Alberta, Canada and farmed for 11 years. They returned to Webster City in 1942.

She is survived by her husband, George, one daughter, Janell Taylor, Culpepper, VA,; three sons, James of Dayton, Thomas and Neil, both of Webster City, 10 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a sister Mary Cooper, Clarion. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

She attended the Church of Christ, was an honorary member of Dorcas Circle, and served on the election staff of Hamilton County's fifth precinct for several years.
